virtual steering meeting

Hey girls! Hope everyone is enjoying the hot weather. I decided to cancel the trip to Joanie's cottage. Not enough people have responded. So hopefully next year we can make it up there.

Well...new business: Cindy got the job (congrats Cindy) so she will not be able to make every MOPS meeting this year. Courtney has volunteered to help Cindy (who will still be organizing things) and will be greeting the mom's at drop off. They have decided to make name tags for the kids so we don't have to deal with sticky tap each week. The infants will get two, one for the diaper bag and one for themselves. GREAT IDEA GIRLS! Because Courtney will not be around all the time for her discuss group, I will be leading her group when she cannot or I will cover her in MOPPETS so she can make it down. This being said...lets try and recruit some dependable MOPPETS workers this year so we don't have to worry about this. ANY IDEAS???

I have made some flyer's and "business" cards. Lori's hubby has volunteered to make the tear off for the flyer's so people can take a number with them. I would love for everyone to print off a sheet or two of the cards and keep a few on you. ALSO...for those of you with kids in preschool...see if you can pass them out to the mom's there (or put them on a table of some sort). Amy is going to post some flyer's around town and I will post some on Cazenovia.

We still need to make the magnets. I don't mind printing them off, but would love some help putting them together. I am not sure when postcards have been mailed in the past or what they usually look like, so I would love some input here.

Andrea and I will put the welcome bags together....any input as to what you may like to see in them?????

Okay...I think thats it for now. PLEASE print out the cards and lets really publicize MOPS this year. Please let me know if there is anything I can be praying for you about. Lets pray...

Dear Lord, Thank you for a place for mom's to meet and learn more about you. I pray for MOPS this year and for all of the mom's who will be attending. I pray we have a great year, full of your presence. Right now I ask you guide us in planning and preparing for the year. I pray you help spread the word about MOPS and bring new mom's in. Be with all of the members of our steering team, Joanie, Andrea, Lori, Courtney, Cheryl, Loren, Faith, Amy, and Cindy. Help them to grow in you and prepare their hearts for this ministry. I pray all of these things, in your name, AMEN!

Love you girls..have a great August. FYI. I will be back at my cottage until 7/25 and won't be able to access email. See you all at our next Sullivan Park meeting!!!
